That was a prototype, it never went into production.
Holden V8 engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Australian company Repco developed and built the Repco-Holden Formula 5000 engine for Formula 5000 and other racing applications using the block and head castings of the Holden 308 V8 as its basis. The engine featured many modifications including Lucas fuel injection and dual coil Bosch ignition and more than 150 special components designed by Repco.
maybe its a one off thing that never made it.
Moff man is right on the money.Ive read stories about the development of these engines before in old car books and magazines etc.I also remember reading that Jack Brabham had either something to do with its existance,or he used it for racing at some stage.Maybe both.

According to the article I remember reading, It has 3 valves per cylinder; 2 inlet and 1 exhaust
that motor in the pic is a prototype, as stated. from memory it was meant to power vtII onwards but holden went with the LS1 instead.
apparently those old formula 5000 open wheelers with the repco/holden/brabham 3 valve motor are still an awesome sight to see tearing up a racetrack today
thats a lot of good info, does anyone know the power spec's
