getrag gear box 5 speed !!!!!! need someone who no a fairbut about them

i have a oringinal VS series 2 ecotech 5 speed manual with the getrag gearbox my reverse is shot need help

get a new gearbox... problem solved

pretty much it man, Ive gone through a couple of T5' easy solution, find another, and yeah, reverse was shot on one of them aswell. Poped out as soon as you put load on it, whole box rumbled etc etc. Not very good box, but i like my manuals and refuse to go auto, so i haft to put up with it lol.

get rags need special tools to pull them apart. and there a pain in the behind to rebuild

yeah a reconditioned getrag cost a grand i dont reackon
thing is its only a simple problem cuz it cant be a selecter nor cogs there is no shavings or nothing in gearbox oil is good as gold andthere is no signs of losing any other gear

bout 90 thousand ks had a exchange on the ecotech new motor it ran awsome its just the reverse thats gone :S
it wants to go into gear and trys to grab but its like its not grabbing like it will go in gear but acts like another neautral when in gear

Off topic, but can you use a t5 box in a VS? Why is information on how to convert a VS to manual very limited? cheers!

t5's use a solid flywheel and getrags use a duel mass other than that the tail shaft and possibly clutch slave setup will have to be changed.
