    Angry vs serging/lack of power

    Hi All,
I have a vs commodore and it has started to play up. it starts real easy and idles perfictly, but when i take of and go to give it a boot full it starts to chug, and hesitates badly. i have replaced the spark plugs and leads and also the fuel filter it hasnt helped at all. i have checked to see if their was any fault codes but nothing.... when im at a desired speed and keep the foot on the gas steady it runs perfictly when i go to accelarate it start to chug, unless ii put it in 3rd doing like 110km then it is fine. going up any form of hill makes it play up real bad. any help or thaught would be mostly appreciated

    you have 2 options

plug lead is firing down the side and shorting out or the coils are on there last legs

fuel pump is on its way out

checking the leads is easy, just check for white tracks down the in sides of the plug lead ends (where they go on the plug) also make sure there on tight

fuel pump will need to be check with a fuel pressure gauge.

I had my fuel pump die on me, though the idle was rough and hardly accelerated and stalled didn't even allow you to get down the road may be the pump on its way out.

it seems to be the seasion for fuel pumps to die. mines diying and several other threads seem to be poiting towards fuel pumps.

needs a fuel pressure gauge. run with a T peice in the pressure line. might be an idea to get a mechanic to check it or see if repco or supercrap sell the gauges
