Default Starter motor on last legs

Anyone know where to get cheap starter motors for VS V8.. checked on ebay all around $300, or u reckon i can get it repaired?

It wouldnt start at all gave the starter motor a few wacks.. started perfectly but has gradually started slower over the past few weeks so i dont think it will last much longer especially with this cold

If you can't find anything cheaper, I can mail you one off a wreck for $50 plus postage.

Can't ensure how long it will last though.

i'm not certain if they're a sealed unit or not, but if they arent then yeah u could most likely rebuild it. if u or a mate is half handy with electrical work get a tin of electrical contact cleaner, some sandpaper and some new brushes and get stuck into it. maybe a new solenoid while you're at it might be an idea too.
