2 questions about injectors

Hello,

I would like to ask 2 things about injectors on a 1800 buick motor.

1) Can i paint them as the black paint thats on them is starting to come off so there is sliver bits showing. if you can paint them can i use the high heat engine paint?

2) Whats the best way of cleaning them as they are out of them engine so is there something i can sock them in maybe?

paint with engine paint is fine, just dont get paint anywhere near any of the inlet outlets even the finest particle could block em.

Take them to a injector specialist to be tested and ultrasonicly cleaned in a machine, they will also fit new filter baskets and put new pintle caps and seals on them, usually costs me about $100 to get the set done.
