2pak or arcrylic?

wanting to put a fresh coat of paint on the old girl. just wondering if the org paint was arcrylic or not? or does it matter? need to get paint and what not for the job

i think it would be 2 pac vr series 2 they went to 2 pac but some up spec vn/p had 2 pac like statos and calais this is coming straight out of a street commodore mag got about 20 pages on budget diy paint jobs helped me out heaps

If its for your vs exec then it will be 2k from the factory

my old vq was acrylic. check the paint code on the build plate,if it has 4 letters and numbers its 2pak,for example,my ss is b093 which is genesis blue 2pak. if it has 5 letters and numbers its acrylic.

Well if you sand it back and put on a decent coat of primer then it shouldn't matter which paint you use.

you use 2 pak primer over the old paint yea in the diy section there is a guide cost me almost 800 for materials

VS was the first commodore to get 2pak paint was just reading it in the SC mag lol

yea i know that. but what i was gettin at was: what paint did that clour cum in(2pk or arc) or both?
but thanks guys i know where im at now.
any sujjestions on a good paint brand?

mine is a vr and they mixed it up in 2pak shouldnt be a prob
