gearbox????

hey guys i have this problem.i checked my transmission fluid and it was low(i think) so i went and got some trans fluid.now when i start the car in the morning or when ever the car is cold it sounds like it doesnt want to change gear.if i was stopped and then i started to go it sounds like its in a higher gears goes up to 3 to 4 thousand revs before it changes gear and its really slugish.but after bout half hr when its warm its fine. only does it when its cold its only happened after i put in the transmission fluid.???? any help would be great

yeah either 2 much fluid or not enough i had to same problems....reverse ur car up a hill and if it's revving hard while going backwards up the hill it's low on fluid..my car was doing the same thing when i took off it revved real hard before it got to second gear,when i filled fluid it was fine

did it ever go away when it got warm or anything? or was it constently do it?

Just drive the car for 15 minutes and then check the fluid level.It should be at the correct level on the dipstick.If not add some.Also you could try changing the transmission filter.The filter kit costs about $25 and comes with a new pan gasket..You will also need 5 Lt of dexron 111 type auto trans fluid.

when the motor was cold seemed worse...but got better as it got hotter and...the slipping in reverse happened cold or hot for me
