There appears to be a whining noise coming from my car after recent auto to manual conversion. The whining disappears when there is light pressure placed on the clutch or if you lift the clutch pedal up slightly with your foot while driving.
Also my clutch pedal seems to be a bit sloppy doesn't seem right to me just wondering if there is anyone out there that can help me out with a solution to the problem.
It might be the sipgot bearing in the flywheel or the release bearing. Were the clutch parts that you used second hand or new?
second hand.
The release bearing and spigot bearing should have been renewed at least when the clutch was reassembled. These bearings do a fair bit of work, and in hot conditions.Try the adjustment and see how it goes.If it doesnt change, and the noise is still there, Id say it would be one of the bearings I mentioned. You will have to remove the box again to replace these bearings.
Release bearing.
As above, should have used a new one.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
