Ok, after putting another dash in to see if the speedo worked,........ nope nothing![]()
So must be something else.
I replaced the speed control sencer as the old one was broken, are these all the same? been told auto and manual are the same just unscrew the old one and replace it.
Im running out of ideas as to why its not working so any help much appreciated![]()
If the L2 speedo was fail also (and worked before) - it will be in the connector to the speed sensor more than likely (or the replacement sensor is no good also).

Hi 88GreenVN, does the purple white wire go all the way to the sensor on the gearbox? I will jump under and have a look to see if everything is
ok there, also there is another connector looking thing that isn't connected to anything and looks to be broken, it has 2 wires going to it,
and is grey in colour and sort of a rectangle shape, not sure if it is a left over from conversion or not.
The sensor I put on it is a second hand one (cos they want an arm and a leg for a new one $220) maybe it is that, is there any way of checking it?
If I put power to the purple white wire will this make the speedo needle move?
Thanks.
Also, there are 3 wires that are connected the the speed sensor that have been joined from the old auto side of things, theirs a whole bunch of wires under there
and im just wondering if maybe the previous owner might of connected the wrong ones, do you have any idea as to which 3 should be going to the sensor?
Cheers.
Just had a check, and the 3 wires are connected in the following way, black/white stripe go to green wire, purple/white stripe go to grey wire, pink/blue stripe go to pink/blue stripe.
Im not sure but that doesn't seem right to me. semms like only one out of three is correct, but then im no sparkie.
