Default Using up quite abit of coolant.

So my 1994 VR berlina has been using quite a bit of coolant recently, every fornight or so its nearing the minimum mark and have to top it up. Haven't noticed any leaks or anything and it's recently been in the mechanics to fix some oil leaks and a general check over and they didn't notice anything suss.

Is this normal and am I paranoid lol?

Also while I'm here, I'm looking at replacing a bit of the bodywork on the car, the bit just below the right tail light and the back right guard (Highlighted in pic), how easy are these to get to/replace? And does anyone have a rough estimate on how much it'll cost?

    Cheers guys.

Rear quarter chop = worth more than the car is. Imho become friends with a panel beater, or just live with it.

If your oil isnt milky and there isnt any oil in the water chances are there's either a tiny leak, or youve done a intake manifold gasket.

are you re filling it with coolant or just water? water can evaporate if not mixed with coolants. sick your finger in the radiator cap WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD if you have a milky residue then you have a leak somewhere get it pressure tested and see if that confirms it. when you mechanic fix these oil leak did he pull the sump of by any chance and look to see if there was any coolant in there. or you could have done a head gasket and you about to be robbed of a lot of $$$

id agree with bandidoben check cooling system pressure and oil, easiest way to tell is when cold check the underside of the oil cap for milky residue
