rear wiper on vr wagon

Guys might sound like a silly question but i not long got the vr wagon still finding a few things out about it

how do you get the rear wiper to work ? do you push the wiper stalk forward, i can get the rear window washer going i did replace the rear wiper motor with a 2nd hand one after i got the vehicle as the other one was in bits

so dont know if im doing something wrong or the wiper stalk is buggered or the 2nd hand wiper motor i got is not working

push the stalk towards the dash once, one more and the washes come on.

if the wiper dont work it could be the ciggerate lighter fuse blown.
