    Default Buzzing sound from exhaust

    Hey guys, (possibly girls too)

I know this is not a very big deal and probably no damage to the car is being done but I was just wondering what the buzzing noise was coming from the end of the exhaust. Also if it is the exhaust what part is it and is it easy to replace cause its kind of annoying.

Is it some sort of pump? Sorry for my knowledge I'm trying to learn more so no negative comments or I wont bother.

    Thanks in advance!

its probably the fuel pump in the fuel tank......it there to pump fuel to the engine, and it is a nessesry part of the opreation of the vehicle.

    your exhaust is fine.

    One more quick question

with the buzzing sound it is quite loud and easily noticed if you are standing outside the car from 5m away

does this mean the pumps on its way out or are they usually that loud?

I've read somewhere that if your fuel pump is noisy, then it's most likely on its way out. Either that or you're near totally out of fuel. Another possibility "which i've seen" is a small hole near the back of the muffler. This can cause a slight buzzing noise. If it was me, i'd be seriously thinking about replacing that fuel pump.

    Cheers!

Forgot to add. I used to have a daewoo racer that done that, and replaced the pump and that fixed the issue. Also had a noisy unit that eventually failed on a magna.

    Cheers!
