    Default VR/VS Spring Choice

    hey all
    after a bit of advice
Ive got a VR series 2 commodore with a gen 3, IRS and a Twin 3" exhaust.
The exhaust hangs kinda low so im not sure whats going to be legal.. (QLD)
Mainly after which springs are going to offer the best handling not so fussed about height so long as its a bit lower than standard.
Will be getting a set of KYB excel g shortened shocks and if necesary a camber kit at the same time
Any advice/pics would be greatly appreciated!

If your exhaust is hanging low I would prob go Kingspring lows, for clearance reasons. I would choose Kings as I used to Have pedders sport ryders it handled well but felt like chopped springs and compressed alot further when people were in the back changed to kings and will never go back ride is smoother and handling in a little sharper in the corners also don't scrub out when fully loaded.

Sooon getting rego done tommorow so once i wash it/track down the camera then there will be pics

Yea was leaning towards lows simply coz my exhaust cost a fair bit and i dont particularly like the idea of tearing it off on some speedbump XD

I've been using kings for awhile now, and they're pretty good. I started using pedders, but the price of one set of springs from them, I could have brought 3 sets of king springs and I also find that kings handle better/stiffer. Pedders red shocks are pretty good, but the comfort gas ones don't seem to keep their pressure too well.

    Cheers!
