need someone with ecu knowlegde

i got a vs manual t5 my computer in it is getrag and i just bought a computer thats meant to be t5 can any1 tell by the identification numbers what is is? the id service number is 16210672 3.8 MAN PCM 16231438 BSTJ and barcode number *861438S351710041 *. any help would be appreciated guys. cheers daniel

same numbers as my vs t5 ecu. to be one hundred precent sure though, the number on the sticker across the pink plugs should start with 6760

672 ecu should be ok its a super6/manual ecu so it should of all the insides for manual. bstj is a manual tune wether its T5 or getrag tune i dont know

cool coz the getrag one i had in there nealrly stalls when u come to a stop and engine light comes on and brings up a fault code for 94 speed sensor. this computer does the same, making me think that its a getrag one. i thought id get that fault because getrag speed sensors have 2 wires and t5 have 3 wires and it thinks something is a miss. or maybe its just nackered. but u drive forever and no light but when u stop it comes on.

they made auto computers that said auto on them why the hell didnt they say t5 or getrag for the manuals.

yeah i just pulled the comp out and checked the numbers on the pink plug and it starts in 6760 i didnt even c there were numbers there i got 4 manual computers from vs's but i think 1 is vt i got givin it to try wont run or start the thermo fan comes on

look and see what tune is in the ecu it may have a getrag tune in it wont help with the vss error the vt ecu may work if you fit a vs memcal as well it hasnt been tested yet but they look like they are nearly identical same wiring etc will most likely run sweet

i tried the vs memcal in the vt pcm but didint work but what was said earlier the pcm is a t5 1 but the tune doesnt matter to much im looking at getting a vs t5 tune stage 4 from ebay and my mate is going to plug his gear into my car and re-write a new tune on it but ill try another chip 1ve got 5 or so vs vt manual ecu's and a pile of memcals to try so plug and play time i think but ill change the speed sensor and check the wiring

dont just randomly plug in tunes go on doctorbobs site Rob's Creative Calibrations and look for the T5 VS listings and use the correct one.why get a shit stage 4 ebay crap chip if your mates going to write you one anyway dont waste ya money

i only need the chip coz he said he needs a blank or a aftermarket on he said he cant overwrite a factory1 checkin out the link now cheers

the ebay chips are mostly stock chips overwritten so wont be of any help if he cant burn a stock one he wont burn an ebay one LOL.does he not have a uv chip eraser is probably why he cant burn one.blank ones are cheap about $3.50

cool as 3.50 sounds good but ill use him as a last resort ive contacted bob so hope all goes good plus a worked motor of stock chip is usless
