Default How to flush and add coolant for my 1994 VR Commodore Executive?

Can anyone here please tell me where is the hose to drain the coolant from my 1994 VR Commodore exeutive?

I accidentally took the wrong hose and I think i took the engine drain hose off and started my car, then a pour of engine oil came out............ I guess it won't be a major issue/problem right?

Just wonder how to correctly flush it, if possbile can someone plz post me a photo on where to locate the drain hose or button for the coolant.

    Cheers
    Thanks alot

The hose you took off sounds like a trans cooler line. Was the oil a red colour?

Also, the hose you want to be removing is the big (50mm) hose going into the bottom of your radiator.

the drain hose is located at the bottom of the engine. there will be a big square metal thing hanging down attached to the bottom of the engine usually silver/grey in colour. undo the bolt start the engine and acceletrate to 2500rpm to help get it all out.

    as for:

Yeah probably a good idea, your trans will start to slip if you lose too much. It comes out pretty quick, ay?
looking fron the front of the car (say, with your knees against your front number plate) there will be a funny dpstick tube near the left rear of the engine. Refill this with approximately the amount that came out. You have to pour it down the dipstick tube. You want ATF (auto transmission fluid) equivalent to GM standard Dextron 3 (DX-3, as its sometimes known) Read the back of the bottle, it will say in the fine print. Once you pour it in, start the car, go for a short drive and park the car on a flat surface. Leave it running and in N or P and check the level on that dipstick again.
