Will a VS Series 1 or 2 T700 Fit 1995 Vr?

Are they different electronically? or everything will work fine on a quick swap?

bump? looking at one now, need to know if they are same as the vr box or they upgraded a little.

the VS box has a extra solenoid in it the 3-2 down shift solenoid, VR has a 12 pin connector on the box and the VS has a 13 pin connector, the extra pin is for the extra solenoid.

I personally have never fitted a 13 pin box to a 12 pain car but i am told you can put the VS box in to a VR (13 pin box in to 12 pin car) as the ecu will not know the extra solenoid is there so it wont show any fault codes, you cant how ever fit a 12 pin trans to a 13 pin car as the ecu will be looking for the extra solenoid and throw it in to limp mode.

I would sick to putting another 12 pin trans in to your VR myself just to be sure it will work 100% as i have never tried the above, but i am told it will work.
