    Cool Vs ute front end

    Hi all

I have noticed when i am driving my steering feels a bit flighty , eg if there is

a join in the road the wheels follow it in stead of tracking straight . I,ve had a good

look under the car but nothing looks out of place , has anyone experienced the same problem ?

    Cheers.

is your ute lowered? when i had my ute it was a little bad for that when i lowered it.

If your on stock suspension, maybe check out all your bushes a flogged bush can cause problems like that

I have had this same problem twice and both times it was tyres. This is after spending xxxxloads of money on bushes etc so before handing over your hard earned see if you can boorow some wheels off a mate and at least exclude this potential problem.

    Muzz,

Just middle price-range tyres, (assuming and hoping this means middle range quality too .) I don't know too much about brands and whatnot, but got some Pirelli's on there which weren't the best quality, or the lowest. Made a huge difference

i think it might be toe-ing out slightly, my ute is exactly like how you said. it was nice when the tyres were new but once they wear as a result of the toe out its back to its flighty self.

yeh i just changed my wheels from 18's with low profiles to interceptors with lots of rubber.. fixed all the flighty movement!
the ride is so much better with bigger rubber... however bigger rims do look better than stockies lol
