vr power steering leak
hey my power steering is leaking at the pump directly above the oil filter at when driving it goes everywhere, so i rekon it must be the pump gasket? they do have one i think, and how much would a kit to rebuild it set me back? plz let me know

I got my pump rebuilt kit from Repco about 18 months ago for under $20.
Real cars are steel cars.
Pump seal kit from Holden is under $10. If you're pretty handy with a spanner, have a go at strip and reseal yourself.
If not, get a c/o unit from Bursons.
Remember to use a pipe spanner in the hi pressure pipe on the back if the pump or you will damage it.

Leaking onto the oil filter usually means it's the o-ring under the reservoir. I would suggest draining oil out of reservoir, disconnecting it from the pump and replacing the o-ring. It is a common place for leaks to occur.
