Default Can I do damage to engine?

Hi.This relates to an earlier post of mine. One of the coils is buggered on my VS and I need to drive to Autobarn to replace coil.My question is will it do any damage to engine. The car wont go over 40klms without violenly shuddering so a slow trip is anticipated.
    Thanks.
    Darren.

all your doing is filling the cylenders up with fuel because its not firing, and yes you can do damage, how much and for how long i am not even going to guess. if it is nessesery to drive it, i would disconect the corrosponding injector lead, may reduse damage

I don't think it's safe to drive at all, regardless of engine damage.

Yeah, that doesn't sound safe to drive, what if you need to accelerate to get out of trouble? In one of my cars the exhaust gasket went and I had to drive it while behaving in a similar manner, scary stuff.
Basically running on less cylinders so not going to be smooth, may cause engine damage, and you should replace spark plugs after anyway.
How far away is autobarn, if its just a short trip it might be alright.

You shouldn't be woried about damage to your engine, what about causing an accident because your car has problems and is not operating correctly.
