Vs commodore Speedo and headlight Switch

HEY all.

Been working on Changing the Dash on my VS commadore ute 1999.

I have ran into a few problems,

1. i took out the Dash board, and i opened it all up, (i want to make the dashlights and interia lights blue) well, the lights are already clear, its the Dash covers (where the Speed numbers, Temp and fuel level are painted on). Is there a place i can get new ones that are clear?

2. i placed the dash back in and pluged it all back in,. and the speedo went crazy and wont sit on 0 it will jump around and then go down as far as it can?

and

3. Fixed

pretty silly of me, i dont really know what i am doing, but i wanna learn this stuff haha

Update, solved the headlight switch problem.

I'd just go to a wrecker and get a complete dash - $40 should do it and it will include the switch and the speedo. Otherwise it will take lots of time and frustrations to repair what you broke.....ain't nothing wrong with learning the hard way!
ps....always...repeat...always disconnect your battery before playing with the electrics.
I'd hate to think of how many things I busted along the way....still doing it.

haha took me about 2 to 3 hours but i fixed the headlight Switch!! lol and i just made a little stopper to stop the speedo needle from going to far!

now all i need to do it make the lights blue lol any ideas?? i disassembled the Dash, and the front black covers come off, with all the writting and text on them? know what i mean?
well, there actually green painted black and have white letters and numbers painted on them also? is there away i can make them blue?
