I have a VS Commodore 5 litre with quite a bad rear main leak, im not the best with cars and would like it done at a mechanics, does anyone know how much this may cost to fix? I know the seal is like 10 - 20 bucks and expecting to pay over 500 to repair, thought I would ask here first.
It was made 1995 and its a series 1, not sure if that makes a difference.
your looking at either gear box out or engine out. gear box is most common. at least a days labour at your choice of repairer, 8hr x what they charge per hour and parts
