check the C.A.S (on the new engine)
replacing what sorry? lol do you mean, "my engine out now, so, what is worth replacing before i put the new engine in"i have got my engine out now and is it worth replacing them before i put a new engine. and is there anything else i should do before i put then next engine in

i have got a reconditioned power steering pump all ready i will make sure i will remove the C.A.S off the old motor to
all depends on what you want to do and what it needs doing.
good idea is to do the sump gasket and rear main seal. possibly welsh plugs, that way these are coverd and the engine wont need to come out again if they start leaking

for the sake of under 50bux just do them anyway,,
pull your sump off and clean out the pick up and all the other sludge in there,
i can bet you the mesh screen is full of crap
i think its one of the big causes of the bearing shells failing ,
but yeh i'd be doing welch plugs they are only really cheap
and the rear main might be a good idea if you feel confident in doing it
+1 for de sludging the sump, welsh plugs and a rear main.
I've done them in the car. Far better to do it when its out, and cheaper.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
The only motor I can find is a serias 2 but it comes with the computer and wires so should I have any major problems putting it in
Yer I would have got yours but it was like a 4 to 5 hrs drive to get it any this one I got was only 1hr away and had 170,000 ks on it
Engine mounts. Rear main seal. clean sump out. welsh plugs. Give the whole eninge bay a degrease/clean touch up any paint chips. is it manual? check the clutch flywheel go over the whole engine with a fine tooth come see if any earths are not connected wires are stripped, any stripped bolt heads? especially if they are in hard to reach places once the motor is in place. check fuse box make sure no corroded wires/fuses. all the engine bolt ons are bolted up properly. the water pump, aircon. paint the pulleys to make it look new again as well as rocker covers.
my new engine doesn't have aircon on it can i bolt my old one on to it
opened up my inlet manifold on my old engine its like filled to the brim with black oily sludge
update
Done:Put A newer water pump on
Rocket Cover gaskets
Replaced Inlet manifold with a cleaned out one
decreased the engine bay
Yet to do : servo the auto
clean out and replace sump gaskets
replace exhaust gaskets
thermostat housing gaskets
problems yet to fix: Striped thread on one of the fly wheel bolts
: rounded bolt on distributor
Dynotune it, once you have got it running.
They will find any bugs???
The money well spent once they MAP the ECU...
does any one no if a vr irs can be converted to solid diff?
