people say its a comon problem with commys but i dont no..
when you 1st switch on an shift back too reverse as u put the foot to the pedal it somtimes konks out
doesnt do that in any other gear in any other times just on slow start when you 1st reverseing
unless you hit the gas on reverse for a kwik high rev if not it'l stop gotta start up again an reverse out..
does anyone no any help advice would be appreciated....
cheers....
Ive noticed that is common in the buicks when power steering is under heavy use whilst reversing. There is no fix that i know of.
Try cleaning the throttle body and the Idle Air Control valve (IAC).....it's the IAC that controls the idle and should raise the idle instantly when extra load is put on like aircon, full lock and going from N to R/D. If it's dirty it will act sluggish and fail to raise the idle.

I agree with Hako. I had this problem last year. I've had the car since new and with 192,000 km on the clock the engine would occasionally stall when shifted to reverse. A clean of the throttle body and IAC valve fixed the problem. It had not been cleaned before.
Thanks gents
my VS does it too
and now i will have a look at what you have said.....
Cheers KB
