    Default VR cruise control problems

My cruise was working perfectly, until I fitted a Level 3 cluster to my car last night! When I drove home after fitting the cluster, I had a few blown globes and the cruise would switch on/off (I could hear the relay clicking in the dash as I pressed the on/off button) but would not set.

Someone told me the cruise won't work if the telltale globes for it are blown, so today I pulled the cluster out again and replaced the blown globes. Now the cruise light on the dash is lit all the time, and will not turn off. I can't hear the relay clicking any more when I push the on/off button either.

Even with the cruise seemingly turned on all the time, it still won't let me set the cruise at any speed!

    Any ideas anyone? I'm stuck!!

have you checked the brake pedal switch to make sure its working? this will stop the cruise from being able to set if its out of adjustment, iirc its the plug with the pink and brown wire

No I haven't checked that. Cheers. I'll have a look tomorrow and see what happens.

You've hit the nail on the head there moff_man. I'm not really bothered about the LCD screens working so I just threw it in. It looks like it will be coming out again though as I do want cruise working! Oh well, i'll try again in a few weeks with the proper wiring!
