slight hesitation around 3000rpm, what could it be??

hello all,

ive had this problem for a while now, but think its getting slightly more noticable now

if i put my foot down, i get a slight hesitation through the rev range(mostly noticable around 3000rpm)

it doesnt move smoothly, although you only feel it under half to full throttle, not under light driving.

ive changed many things over the time and it is still there(oxygen sensors, plugs, fuel/airfilters, checked leads, oil changed regularly

also it doesnt have any sort of miss at idle

what could it be?

coil packs could be faulty underload.

one of the coils has been replaced(middle one) due to me degreasing the motor without covering them so one got buggered..

but problem was there before and after the new middle coil

is there any way to test them, ive done the multimeter test but it shows good readings

they can all show good when tested but could fault under loan, try swapping the other 2 coils with a good known working one, one at a time.. borrow one of a mates car to test on yours.

ok will try this soon... just gotta find someone with a coil to swap with

anyone else got any ideas that i can try
