Whats wrong with my 94 VR Commy? Engine issue?

Hi guys, these few days my Automatic 94 Holden Commo VR executive having this issue, almost 5/10 or 6/10 my car having trouble when shifting gear, sometimes even my rev/rmp goes over 3000 it does not have the change gear sound the gear 2, is this a common issue for similar car or something wrong with the engine? My car is an automatic , is there something wrong with the automatic transmission?

Try changing the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).The auto trans uses this sensor to shift properly,and when it plays up or wears out it can cause erratic transmission behaviour and gear changes.Also try doing an error code check.Heres the link to the thread that shows you how to do this error check test,it is very easy to do and very useful for diagnosing problems---Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)---

Changing to 2nd gear mostly, didint flog it at all. .

enough fluid in the gearbox?

Really got no clue about it, bought it off someone last month. How to top off the fluid in the auto transmission/?? is it through the dip stick besides the engine?

Is ithe TPS available to purchase from shops? or I have to get a mechanic to do the job? thx for info
