Hello,
I want to get a carbureted 355 for my 96 VS but my mate says i wont be able to get it licensed because its carbureted
Is this true ?
Cheers
He is correct - whatever you fit must meet the pollution laws of 1996 when your VS was made....and carb engines just cannot compete with fuel injection. That's for starts - there are other reasons but that's the main one I'd reckon.

Just go EFI with a hi rise manifold
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
you could do it if you ran straight gas
just speak the rta , vic roads or the revelant authority in the state you are in first
Cheers thanks Deanos
