Default VS Ute front end conversion questions.

    Hi guys,
    First post.
    Nice forum. Good one.

    Dudes, i have a 1999 Series 3 VS S pack Ute. White.

She is in need of a bit of lovin.

I was thinking of upgrading the front bumper to the VX conversion kit....

    What do you guys reckon?

Whats the best looking upgrade for a VS front end or should i just leave it alone?

I quite like the VX kit.....are there other bumpers which look better?

I'm in Perth and would appreciate advice on the mod and any ideas where i could find what i need in WA.

    Thanks in advance.

At the moment it looks like this:

NB: this is not me or my car, just a pic i ripped of the web, my car is identical however. Cheers.

    Thoughts?

Would anyone know if the VX - VS mod kits can be bought in WA?
If not, where's the best place to get them?

(I'll take a pic of my beast tomorrow morning)

a little off topic but i thought it would be interesting, the car that you have the pic of is from a cleaning business that is based 800m from my house. weird.

    Thanks moff_man

Yeah I reckon you might be right...

Now to decide which front end panel looks the best, god knows there are some god awful after market front ends for the Vs's...

I think its down to the VY or the VX front ends, what do you guys reckon....., there is a cool looking Monaro style one that fits the VS but i'm not sure about it...

I'll get some pics happening later...

I had a look around these forums but couldn't see any other threads about doing that mod....does anyone know of an existing thread that runs through the choices available for VS front end mods?

ive seen the vt/vx ones look good before. in my opinon its the only later model bumper that will suit a vs. The VY/VZ are too sharp looking. Better still get a VS maloo/clubsport kit that way youll know it will fit too

    Thanks Jonnii,
I reckon you might be right..the Vx has the edge of the Vy front ends...as you say...too angular.

I'll look into it a bit further.

Damn i wish i had 10K to throw at this car, so many nice parts out there for them....

Either go a full kit bcos only doing the front done can look pretty ordinary..
or just get an ss lip n side skirts which will b much cheaper too and in my
opinion look way tougher but yea each 2 there own.. Ebay has everything lol
