overhauled VR V6

just wondering how much an overhauled engine is worth im looking at one now its replaced all gaskets plugs leads heads shaved and polished new lifters vavles pushroads new cam new thremosat new bearing and piston rings the guy is wanting 500 deffiantly worth it or not??

i payed 100 for a second hand motor and put a engine kit thorough it (just the gaskets) and it coasted me another 150. i also did all the work my self. if this guy is legit and have receipts than i would call it a bargain. also ask for a compression test.

thanks heaps yeah i was thinking it was a good deal was just gonna get the whole car for 700 haha and sell it in peices make my money back so pretti much have a free engine
my engine has only done 160000 kms but it hasnt been on the road for 4 years up until it got registed yesterday ands its starting to get a knock and dont realli feel like pulling engine out and doing a overhaul myself haha

i know what you mean, thats why i did the 2nd hand engine i knew was good and put fresh gaskets through it. than sold the car for 3 times what i payed for it

well the car the engine is in also has new indicators brand new gaurds that havent even been sprayed yet a recond auto (yuck hate autos) and power windows i could use a new gaurd (dented driver side) and i dont have power windows so it would be a nice addition to what ive done inside the car already

go for it bud, i also was once a vl freak, and only moved to the vr scene in the last couple of years. form the sounds of it, i would grab the whole car, than wreck out the shell when your done with it
