    Default HELP!My auto 94 VR executive does not move today ~ . ~ ' ' ''

Hi guys, this morning when i was going out for work, this problem happened.
I can successfully start up my car , and engine runs. Then soon after i put the transmission to Reverse, it stalls. Then I tried to put in back to parking and restart the engine, works fine, started. Then when I put it back to Reverse again, it does not goes back! and after i tried to put to D / drive and try to make it go forward, doesnt works as well.......... Have to borrow my friends car for work now.
Wondering why its happening, and ideas guys? Or what should i mention to the mechanics guys for them to be able to fix it?

Check the transmission fluid level, from what youve described,it sounds like it could be low.Only use Dexron 3 (111) type auto transmission fluid. You top it up by pouring the fluid down the transmission dipstick tube, which is near the rear of the engine on the drivers side.Once you have added enough fluid to get it going (level with the cold level marked on the dipstick),re check the level with the engine idling, the transmission in park position once the car has been driven and is up at operating temperature. The marks are on the dipstick to show where the proper level is when hot.

there is only one dipstick right at the back driver side, it should have a red flip lock cap on it.

um....Yeah, i think there are only two dip stickss right? 1 is for checking engine oil level and the another one right at the back driver side must be the one for the trannsmission right?

Should be the dipstick on Drivers side top of engine. Black with "TransLock" written on mine. Other is passengers side bottom of engine with a yellow loop at the top - that is engine oil.

I would get a Transmission Service Pack from Repco. About $50 and you will get new filter and gasket. Be sure to clean out the pan and get NO DIRT in it at all.

May as well do it properly and service it while your at it. Good luck mate

Well, you know what repco stands for? Rip Every Poor **** Off. I've been going to a local repco shop for over 15 years now. And everytime I ask for trade rates they get shitty at me. Pretend to give me trade, and then find i've paid full price for the item. The third last time I went there, I got quoted $110 for a serpentine belt for the alternator and water pump, decided to go to sparco and got a brand new water pump, the belt and idler pulley for under $80 trade and still had enough change left for lunch "Best thing is they didn't even complain about giving me mate's rates!" Second last time I set up a proper trade account for my dad and myself "was helping him get some gear to fix his nissan. lol". Thought everything was cool, then went in there last time. They refused to sell stuff to me at trade rate, because i didn't have a repco cash-card. I was not given one when i set up the account. Told the guy and he was getting shirty about it. Told him to go F**k himself and that they've lost a long term customer that's probably brought over $100,000 "under-statement" in equipment from them in the 15 years i've been a customer and they didn't seem to care. I'd never ever go there again. Much easier and cheaper to go somewhere else such as sparco, supercheap or even better off ebay.

f**k repco. If they're not gonna look after the little guys like us who pay for their employment!, i'd never buy from them ever again and neither will my family "and extended family".
