VS to VT auto shifter

just wondering if the shifter from a VT can be put into a VS? I prefer the VT shifter over the VS one when it comes to driving the auto box like a manual, its just a more natural way of overriding the button in the VT. has anyone done this and can tell me how to do it? i know its probably something really simple but im mechanically illeterate and want to learn

i think he means drive it threw the gears it is possible and im sure everyone has done it lol but without a full manual body shift kit you dont get the true feel for it as the gearbox still changes when ever it wants


as for fitting the shift it would be a big job as you would more than l.ikely have to change the centre console as well cause you cant just change the top of the shifter you have to change the whole shifter including surround as they have a different link but i suppose it can be done just be a pain in the butt be easier to buy a b&m shifter

ok thanks for that, i wont bother with it then. ive got a stage 2 shift kit to throw in it so it holds the gears when i put it in 1, 2 or 3. itll still shift like a normally auto in d though

I used to do the same hold it in 1st, 2nd or 3rd got boring though so manual ftw.

yeah id love a manual but chucking in the stage 2 shift kit is cheaper and easier than a manual conversion. plus findind manual vs's that arent v8s or utes is quite hard
