Question What is this white residue on my old spark plugs

Hi changed my plugs and leads today in my 1995 series 1 vs commodore , anyways every single old plug i removed had some white residue shit caked on the bottom of the spark plug looked bit like white corrosion , and two of the spark plug leads were melted to two plugs , anyways does any one know what this white stuff is on the bottom of the spark plugs .

If the plugs are white looking it can mean there is a vacuum leak making the engine run lean or the plugs are running too hot ,you can switch to a colder plug which can help.Ive seen it happen when the car is used on the open road a lot at high speeds..Australias crappy fuel quality doesnt help either.
