    Default Vs identification m78 & m80 diffs

I was helping another forum member with identifying a M80 diff in a vt to only throw up another question

Is the supercharged v6 high performance diff or a V8 diff an m80 like in the Vt series onwards or is it the m78 in the early pre vt series?

Can anybody say for sure what a VR SS Lsd diff is M78 or M80?

from late model VK's everything up to VS was BW78. VT s2 V8 and super6 models got the BW80, standard V6 models continued with the BW78

Iv searched and searched but what is confusing is the super six high performance diffs especially when the Vs statesman series II and series III are the same years as the VT ( not sure of the series)like mine before the body change over ,so its hard to tell if it had an M78 or M80 without specific info

but now I have an LSD VR SS Diff so its more important to find out which it is M78 or M80 so I will know if my VL 3.45 diff gears(M78) will

but it sounds like they will but Im still curios about the supersix diffs

    I doubt the Super6 would've gotten a different diff to the V8's
