Default Fan Amplifier in 96 VS Commodore - Climate Control

Hi, having some issues with the fan. After I switch off the ignition the fan continues to run at high speed.
Went out and bought the 2SD1297 Darlington transistor, installed it and reconnected the battery and the fan didn't switch on again so all good.
Except after we switched the car on and then turned it off again the fan kept on going so the fuse had blown again.
We put a new radio in about 1 week ago is there any way this could have stuffed it up?
If so how can I fix it or does it need a new part or is it worth taking it to an auto electrician?

You fitted a new radio in the car and now the A/C fan keeps running after you turn the car off?

Not the heater blower motor in the climate system?

    That's pretty much it.
Not sure, I think the part is called a fan amplifier or something, guy at a holden dealership says it's a common flaw or something.

It's the interior climate control fan, everything else on the car seems to be working fine.
Will pull the radio out and check the wiring on that again before I use the last transistior.
Is there anything behind there that can be an issue?

Thanks for your help everyone but turns out the climate control unit was stuffed so ordered a new one off ebay for $35 and the problems fixed.
