V6 and V8 T5's are different so you cant use that. full wiring harnes ecu gearbox drive shafts diffs and bigger brakes to make it legal i think.

I'm pretty much in the same boat, except my VR probably still has about 100k kms left in it.

to supercharge or surcharge the cc's.

VR V6 and V8 brakes are the same, only different from VP S1 back and then VT onwards?

You can use a V6 box if you get a V8 T5 input shaft and bellhousing. (there on ebay every now and then)

Dont forget the new clutch and flywheel for the V8 motor. (can get new or ebay for the flywheel)

Tailshafts im not sure, you wouldnt think the V8 gearbox sits any further back then a V6 box cause it still goes through the same hole in the floor so a educated guess would be they are the same.

V6 and V8 box's are different in more ways then just input shaft and bellhousing. Input shaft in a v6 is 35mm longer( and u can't just change the input shaft as it had more teeth on it inside the actual gearbox), bellhousing, gear ratios, and i have heard that v8's gear set is shot pinned.. but i cannot confirm this, and also you'd need a v8 fly wheel and clutch assembly.

finally im not sure if the output splines to the tailshaft are the same?

Hmm, i didnt know about the inside of the input shaft being different other then ratios? Ive also always been told the gears are the same by gearbox rebuilders to the V6 other then the ratios.

Ive had the V6 T5 and V8 one next to each other and the outputs looked the same but without the tailshafts to test you never know....
