Default Changing Dash to Non Airbag Dash...

    Hey guys,

I just picked up a new interior trim which i won't go into much detail for now, but basically it's grey leather and currently i have a black dash (how it came when brought).

I just need to know this, how easy is it to change the dash which has a passenger side airbag to one without passenger side airbag. I need to do this because i need to change the dash to grey and i don't really want to paint it. Thanks all.

PS. I like the look of no airbag over what i have now, gives a little 'bench' there.

    Cheers,

    Jacob.

i was about to say that. if he does do it and smashes his car and the passenger gets hurt, he will find him self in a majorly deep endless hole of crap and maybe in debt for the rest of his life.

Always disconnect the battery when working on anything air bag related.

Nuh it shouldnt but if your worried just dissconect the battery, it wont blow up without 12v. No you shouldnt have to replace or move the airbag with the dash, its not connected to the dash.

oh that makes it WAYY more easier to understand now... so the dash comes off in the usual suspect places and doesn't effect the air bag since it's a unit underneath?

Airbags ( if they are inside their use by data and working ) are a very handy thing to have.
I smashed my last VS and very nearly needed one and it did not inflate ... apparently they wont work when more than about 10 years old ?!!

Airbags go off with alot of force, so be sure to disconnect that battery.
