Hey guys,
I have been offered some basically brand new VE rotors and calipers for a very cheap price through work and im wondering if they will fit a VS Statesman V8 on the front.
I have searched around on multiple forums but cant seem to find what i need to know. Will they bolt on? or do they need some sort of adapter and does anyone know of a likely place to source them?
I have been told with the VS you can basically bolt the VT front brakes on no worries (aside from pedal feel and i think a bit of stuffing round with the brake line) as its different from the VR setup. I have seen kits for the VE upgrades and they include adapters but would this be in the same way that a VB to VR needs the adapter for the VT as well?
Im trying to weigh up the overall cost, otherwise i will hunt round for VT brakes instead.
This is a page that GSL Rally Sport (site sponsor) have put up - VE Twin Piston Upgrade Package suit VB-VZ Commodore!!!
If you can get the calipers cheap, maybe you could try and workout something with GSL to get the mounting hardware by itself.
I did check that one out but unfortunately he cant split the kits up. I was hoping that you can either
get them from someone else
dont need them
Make them up if they are something simple, but i dont know..
i have VE twin piston calipers and 330mm rotors on the front with 315mm rotors on the rear on a VS clubsport. Awsome brake setup for the VS.(if you decide to go with ve calipers you need to put the calipers on the opposite side to each other.......right side caliper for the ve goes on the left side of your vs. this is because ve calipers sit on the following edge of the rotor not the leading edge in vs.
hope this helps!!!!
