ok, so i went about collecting a full set of the fat calais door strips, and have spent the better part of a few weekends sanding them back to their pre-painted surface...
ive had a few go's and priming / painting these, which have all come out s!@#house, so i figured id take them to a painter and make them do it... then i had another idea - what about chrome plating?..
being these strips are plastic, does anyone know if its possible to have these chrome plated through an electro plater?
also, anyone know what i might be looking at costwise for either paint or plating?
cheers!

I think they coat them in some kind of conductive coating (copper paint, maybe?) before electroplating them. Do you mean the door strips? because Im pretty sure you can just buy that stuff in a roll
Door chrome is part of the mold for the doors, is on mine anyways, pinstrip with a lick of clear coat over the top is the way to do it
yeah - they make the thin bit in rolls (like the bumper filler strip) but i wanna put on calais / statesmen chromed up door mouldsI think they coat them in some kind of conductive coating (copper paint, maybe?) before electroplating them.
