Vs 5ltr statesman not running right

hey all
My Vs is running like an absolute dog at the moment. coming home from work the other night and it started dieing coming into roundabouts and stopping at traffic lights.. had to keep it stalled up, i just did the dizzy because the hall effect sensor carked it and now this has started.. It's also hard to start, could it possibly be one tooth out of alingment or would this problem occur straight away????
when i got it back home i put the timing light onto it and im running about 13 degrees advavced at idle.. could the rough idle possibly be caused from a dodgy MAP sensor??
any help would be great..

did you bridge out the appropraite pins on the aldl connector prior to setting ignition timing to i think 10 degrees it should be?? dont quote me on that.
base idle maybe out of whack, maybe map, maybe anything. check timing with pins bridged first.

yeah mate everytime i bridge them it dies.. i set it at 13 because it's got a stage 2 cam..

maybe your base idle is stuffed, have a play with that and adjust.
