vs clubsport Realy Bad drivetrain noise

hi guys my vs clubsport 5.0l manual made a bang like something let go while driving at 100km and now its making a bad grinding/off balance sort of noise from the drivetrain, so i picked up another diff and put it in thinking it was that but it still does it, it still drives and shifts fine it just makes a huge noise can anyone help ?, could it be a gearbox bearing? is there any way to tell?, any help will be much appreciated

Tail shaft center support bearing?
Broken universal joint?

thats what i was thinking(and hoping) so ill pull the tail shaft out and have a look at it

Check for movement before you pull it out.

if it is the driveshaft, is the auto and manual driveshafts different? as there seems to be more autos over here in NZ than manuals
