holden v8 engine loom HELP please

quick question guys is there any difference in the vp 5 Litre loom compared to a vr 5 litre loom just wondering instead of unhooking it all if i can just un plug one and plug the other in cheers for any help

You cant use the VP loom in a VR if your going to be using the VR trans.. VP is kick down cable, VR is electronic. Thats if its auto Plus the plugs on dizzy are different, and the plugs under the dash are different to.

Will be a lot easier to put your VR loom on to the VP engine

ok mate its manual does that change anything
can i just use the vps manual loom?? with the vr engine loom

yeah the VP manual loom is nearly the same as a VR manual loom.. just a couple of plugs different. I would still use the VR loom in the VR though. if you have the engine out it will be easy to swap over, even if the engine is in its still pretty easy to do.
