Grinding Noise under the car, sounds to be the fly wheel, doesn't make noise idling but when rev's go up it grinds.
Recently car has pooped and the grinds majority of the time, it doesn't move in any gear and when revved it wants to cut out, has the fly wheel or torque converter bolts come out ?
Im tipping ill be looking at over 1000 bucks easy for it to be fixed.
Story: the car had transmission repaired awhile back and had a grinding noise, turned out to be a bolt coming out from the same area and grinding in the protection plate. Took the car back and they "fixed" it apparently, now it seems its done it again, however can all the bolts actually come out? how many bolts are on a flywheel or torque converter. My car is stuck at a car park and wont be able to bring her home for about 2 weeks, good thing is, its right near a 24 hr mcdonalds, bad thing is, its a hang out spot for all the teenage drunks.
So my main question is, could this be mendered so I can get it home? can I just put bolts back in and then drive it home? or are the mentioned symptoms indicate something beyond this?
Thanks all in advance to any replies.
