Hi All,
I Had an interesting problem the other night.
I went to drive home from work late at night (as I work away from home),
& the low beam started stuffing around. when I say stuffing around it would flick of it's own accord between low beam & park lights.
I stopped to give the low beam relay a wiggle & a tap under the bonnet & they came back on fine.
I started driving again when a truck was comming the other way i hit low beam with the stalk & i lost my lights onto parkers again so I pulled over again.
I gave the low beam relay a tap but this time I lost every thing except parkers.
The fusable link had blown.
The guy from the RAC (WA) came out after hours (he nocked off at 10pm, it was now 11:30pm)
He got me going again with low beam only.
Apparently this is due to an earthing problem in the indicator stalk when they get old from use.
The RAC guy told me this & my auto elec also confirmed that was the problem.
this is just for others who may have the same problem.
the RAC guy in Collie is awsome to come out like he did!![]()
