    Default Reownership

hey guys my dad past away 9 years ago and my mum had to sell his senator (1997 vs 215i manual (supercharged) in silver) now she sold it in 2002 and I really want to buy this car back from whoever had purchased it. Any ideas of what I could do? Ive checked all the car sales sites and stuff but theres nothing there that sounds similiar. im going to upload some of the pictures soon so u guys can have a look

Find out who your mum sold it to....then you are going to have to do some detective work. If you have someone 'in the know' with access to vehicle registry details it would be a piece of cake....however to keep it legal you are going to have to do the legwork. One thing I would do, is if your mum can remember the rego plate number, try to apply for a personalised plate with that number on it - the PN site will check if it's being used or not. If it's available it means the car is deregistered or interstate and if it's not available that will mean it's still in WA. Good Luck.

Or at a price your willing to pay. Manual 215i's still hold their value well (and being a deceased estate kindof, he probably got it cheap)

Call 13 11 56 and see if the plate is available - if it is not available the car will still be registered in WA. When you ring, tell them that your dad had that number plate and you wanted to know if it was available and how much does it cost. When they tell you either way, just thank them and say you'll think about it.
That will get you to first base - then I'd ring 92168000 (WA transport) and explain what you want to do....they may be sympathetic and offer some help although I'd guess it's not legal for them to give you too much, but anyway, it's worth a try. Good Luck.
