Default VS Commodore losing a lot of what appears to be transmission fluid

VS Commodore transmission has been slipping a little, checked transmission fluid and it was empty. Filled it up and car performs much better. Trouble is the fluid is leaking. I have attached some pics. Looks to be leaking at the transmission housing itself to my untrained eye...

I'd say pan gasket, but it's a touch hard to say from those shots. Easy to fix, but a filthy job to do in your carport...
