Have a VS SS and she is very hard to start when cold.
No power loss, had a service 3 months ago.
Once she starts seems to be fine but.
(the battery keeps on going flat because of the amount of times she has to be turned over on cold start).
If you turn her off and let it sit for a minute, it will start, its only on cold start up i have this issue.
Any help much appreciated.
maybe try turning the key to ignition but not kicking the car over, wait about 5 sec then try. gives your fuel pump more time to kick in
EDIT!!! Fuel Pump is fine!
Fuel pump just keeps on running.....think i need to get it pressure tested.

try swapping some relays around under the bonnet, cant remember 100% which relay it is but pretty sure its the EFI relay, if this fails power is taken direct from the oil pressure switch so the engine will only fire up once the oil pressure is raised slightly which will happen after the engine is cranked over by the starter a few times.
Might not be your problem but worth a shot, switch it with a known working relay.
Went out yesterday and she started after about 10sec. Had a small fuel smell.
When i turn her over, she just does not sound right.......
sounds like leaking injectors then, they leak into the chamber overnight making it hard to start when cold in the morning, but it needs quite a while to leak enough to make it hard to start.
Had same trouble with my ss vs and changed ignition module and oil switch and seems okay now..prior to that changed injectors which didnt help
Your battery is probably on it's last legs especially after going flat a few times plus all the extra cranking, so it may be time to threat the car to a new one - 660 cold crank amps is the way to go.
