vr v8 auto into vs v8?
hey just wondering if i get a vr v8 auto can i put it in a vs v8 with auto computer? coz i may bee swaping my vn ss for a vs ss but trans in vs is starting to slip also what colur should i paint it cos its in primer lol
no you cant put a VR auto in to a VS, the VS auto has 1 more solenoid than the VR the 3-2 down shift solenoid. If you put this VR trans in you will get no TCC lock up and will have the engine warning light on dash on all the time as the ECU will be looking for that extra solenoid that is missing. The VR box has a 12 pin connector, the VS 13 pin the 1 extra pin is for the 1 extra solenoid.

VR and VS engine looms plug in at different places in the engine bay, you will have to extend a few wires to get it to fit.
VS plug in high up the drivers side near the screen, VR plugs in near the fuse box.
