VS 1997 Wagon Auto

Hi all
Have auto gearbox No. 7HDD and is using fluid and over revs on long trips (especially when towing a box trailer).
I have at home a auto box 4HDD, are there any difference, and will it fit and work properly???

if it's revving while in drive then it's slipping, has the fluid been changed recently? If it's only doing it while towing have you got a external oil cooler for it?
