    Default replacing fuse box

    Hi guys,

When i bought my car the fan fuse inside the car had melted the fuse box area slightly, and now it needs replacing. I was wondering if anyone has removed the front part where the fuses plug in? If so is it difficult how does it connect?

    Cheers.

Are you talking about the fussable links? 60A ones at the front of the fuse box? That bit comes off individualy to the fuse box its self so its not hard to change.

I think he is talking about the fuse panel under the steering wheel. If this is the case you are going to need to remove the dash, it connects to almost everything along the front half of the car, it also runs out into the engine bay, I did it on my VS last year when I had a car fire

have you got a loom yet? you need to ensure that the loom you get has the same BCM connectors as your loom as well, oh and the climate control, it's actually a major job.

its kinda common for that to happen, i usually just cut the wires going to that fuse, and connect them to a new inline fuse holder.

depends how bad the damage is, thats exactly what we intended on doing to mine as it only seemed to be the interior lighting fuse that had burnt, but then when we dropped the fuse panel down everything behind it was charcoal, it was a wonder the car even drove without shorting on everything.
