To repair the leak in the fixed glass on the wagons is quite easy. I did this ages ago so i hope the info is accurate.
Mine is an Acclaim but I assume Berlina would be the same despite the chrome trim.
Remove the interior trim that surrounds the two rear windows.
You may need to unbolt the top rear seatbelt mounts to enable the trim to be moved out of the way.
The trim that runs long the top of the tailgate opening will also need to be removed.
Remove the screws that hold the gutter mould to the gutter. Two screws each side, located in the rear door openings.
The rear mould slips into the front so no need to remove the front mould. (You can remove the front mould mounting screws if you wish to make reassembly a bit easier.)
The rear moulds are part of the rear glass assembly.
Remove all the plastic nuts that hold the glass assembly to the body.
Carefully remove the rear glass and slip the mould out from under the front mould at the same time.
You will most likely find that the original sealant has gone hard. Remove any excess but leave behind what seals to the body.
Clean off the muck that has accumliated around the body and glass. Mine had rotting leaves in there!
Apply a bead of NON hardening windscreen sealant (Repco stock it in cartridge form) around the perimeter of the assembly. Also seal around the studs.
(Non hardening sealant works best as it is similar to the original and will allow the glass to be removed later if required and will clean up with Kerosene.)
Refit the glass and make sure that the rear trim has slipped under the front trim.
Refit all the plastic nuts and tension, making sure some sealant oozes out from around the glass.
Don't over tension the nuts as they are only plastic and will strip easily.
Refit the moulding screws and interior trim in reverse order.
That's it!
VrWagz1, if you are talking about the windscreen or tailgate glass, you will need to remove the glass and cut off the old sealant (urethane in this case) and glue in the glass with a new seal. Tape the seal to the glass first and remove when sealant has dried.
As the glass is glued in place and must be cut out, you must be very careful not to break the glass if you intend to refit it.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
